Make connection easy.
Create regular, welcoming spaces where international and local people in Messina meet, play, talk and discover what they can do together, even if they arrive knowing nobody.
We are an international circle of builders and visionaries in Messina, connecting people across cultures through events, collaborations and shared projects.
For as long as anyone can remember, this city has talked about a bridge across the Strait to the mainland. Meanwhile, students and young professionals from all over the world kept arriving here, and too many of them left without really meeting anyone.
In February 2025 we hosted our first evening, The Opening Move: a room of strangers, some board games and a simple rule that everyone talks to someone new. People came back. They brought friends. Those evenings grew into games and karaoke nights, open debates, a three-day cricket league and creative projects with local partners.
Today Crafters Bridge connects people from more than 20 countries. We are still building the bridge, one connection at a time.
We didn't wait for the bridge. We built one out of people.

A Messina where every newcomer finds friends, collaborators and opportunities within their first month, and where ideas from every culture turn into real projects.
Everyone is welcome. Come alone, come new, come as you are.
Fewer small talks, more conversations people remember.
Good ideas grow faster when people from different places work on them.
No single culture sets the tone. Every country adds something.
Every event we have hosted, in the order it happened.
Everyone. Erasmus and international students, young professionals, people who just moved to Messina, and locals who want to meet the world without leaving the city.
Yes, and most people do. Our events are designed so you meet people from the first minute. Come alone, leave with friends.
No. English is the main language at our events. Italian speakers are very welcome too, and plenty of people practise their Italian with us.
Many of our events are free. When an event has a cost, it is written clearly on the event page before you register.
Choose an event on the Events page and register. You get a ticket with a QR code. At the door, scan the QR code on our screen with your phone and type your ticket code, email or name. That's it.
We take photos and videos at our events to share on Instagram. When you register you can choose if you are happy to appear. If you see a photo of you that you want removed, message us and we will take it down.
Send us a message with the form below or on Instagram, tell us a bit about you and what you would like to help with.
Have a look at the Collaborate page and send us your idea. Even half an idea is a good start.
